The Freedom They Stole From Us
Throughout history, to rule over people, a lot of ideologies have been introduced and used by governments and organizations. It costs far less for them to control us instead of preparing an environment where human beings can live freely and happily.
Path Of Life
Whenever I want to go on a trip, from the moment I hit the road, I ensure that I will try my best to enjoy every moment. Because life is not about the destination but the path you are taking, and you must embrace it. So now imagine you are going on a trip with a person that dictates every single action of yours and your friends. They want to involve in every minute of your trip and control what you must do due to their mindset.
Isn't that awful? Imagine living a life like that. This is what we are facing on a regular daily basis. From the most insignificant thing in our life, we have been controlled to the things that will affect millions of people. That’s how dictators live among people. They may form a small portion of the population, but they are fanatics. They do not hesitate about their actions and behavior and want to control every individual to do what they desire and what they think.
Freedom: A Significant Pillar Of Our Existence
Although we are social creatures, we are alone in our nature. Every person we meet in our life will accompany us in part of our life. So it is vital for us to have the freedom to do whatever we desire even though someone else might not like it. Of course, our freedom does not mean we can harm another person or restrict another individual's freedom. Kurt Cobain once said:
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.
This is the beauty of life that we are individuals with different desires, potentials, skills, and so on. But all in are, we are all Human Beings and have Human rights. We must love each other; if we do not like another person or their mindset, eliminating them or their idea should not be an option. The harmony that flows in tolerating each other, creating the best version of ourselves, and helping others build their own is fascinating. I believe that it is vital for growing Human civilization.
Thousands of years have passed since human civilization, and yet we are struggling with some banal matters. We are yet struggling with the concepts such as “A person should be free in the way they want to dress.” These elementary subjects prevent human beings from moving toward becoming apex civilization and start to explore what is out there far beyond the earth. There is not a single day that I won’t think to myself:
One day, these matters will resolve, and we will look at the sky and think about the subjects far more significant than the ones we are struggling with right now. BUT how many lives should be sacrificed to reach that day?
What is The Most Important Freedom?
We are being bombarded by the amount of data each day, and believe it or not, my friend, many of them are not just neutral data. They will shape the way we think, act, and live. To control people, it is easier for them to control what we think about and shape our thoughts (so, in consequence, our character) into irrelevant and worthless things so they can become stronger and stronger. This has happened throughout history and is happening in almost every country. But some governments have taken this into a physical layer and heavily suppressed anyone against their ideology, and this MUST stop. One example is the protest currently taking place in Iran in the name of #MahsaAmini. Iranian people demand the freedom they deserve. For over four decades, many Iranian’s lives have been affected by the ideology of ayatollahs in every single aspect of their lives. They have stolen our most precious freedom, Freedom of Thought!
Why We Should Help Other People?
I believe a considerable amount of evil things currently happening on the face of the earth are because of a lack of understanding. We simply do not think about the consequences of our actions and do not fully embrace the responsibility for our actions. Still, many people are entirely aware of their actions, yet they attempt to do that. Take dictators as an example.
